A competitive base salary with fantastic overall earnings potential (based on weekly targets). We also offer overtime and weekend work, which is readily available and paid at a premium rate per test.
We donβt require our PAT engineers to be experienced; however, an enthusiastic attitude to learn is required. We will provide all the necessary training. Additionally, we will provide you with a company vehicle that can be used for personal use if you opt into this scheme, along with all the equipment needed.

A typical day as a PAT Tester at phs includes:
- Traveling to customer sites to carry out Portable Appliance Testing.
- Completing tests on portable appliances within customer premises.
- Producing daily results that meet client and external accreditation standards.
- Representing phs Compliance with positive customer service as the face of the company.
- Ensuring professional, safe, and timely service delivery on client sites, primarily during normal working hours (40 hours/week), with occasional out-of-hours work depending on client needs.
The ideal candidate for a PAT Tester at phs will have:
- A full UK manual Driving License held for at least 12 months (subject to insurance requirements), with a maximum of 6 points.
- Flexibility to work outside core 9-5 hours and spend up to 8 hours on site.
- C&G 2377 qualification preferred but not essential, as full training is provided.
- The ability to perform manual work for extended periods.
- Adaptability to different environments and customers daily.
- Basic IT, numeracy, literacy, and good communication skills.
- A desire to pursue a career within the electrical industry.
