Senior EC&I Engineer β Contract
Warrington or Preston (hybrid working possible). 44 β 61 per hour (Umbrella, inside IR35). 12-month contract. Must be eligible for BPSS clearance.

The Role
As Senior EC&I Engineer, you\\\βll be responsible for the delivery of engineering and technical activities, providing expertise across design, analysis, safety, and technical leadership. You will:
- Lead and support engineering activities across the full project lifecycle.
- Produce, review, and approve calculations, drawings, models, and technical documentation.
- Contribute to project safety assessments and risk management processes.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.
- Ensure adherence to all relevant codes, standards, and engineering best practices.
- Act as Technical Authority or Engineering Lead where required.
- Support business development through input into tenders and proposals.
What We\βre Looking For
- Degree (or equivalent) in a relevant engineering discipline.
- Chartered Engineer status (or working towards).
- Proven experience delivering EC&I engineering activities within complex, multi-disciplinary projects.
- Strong technical knowledge and the ability to resolve engineering challenges across a range of complexities.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
Desirable:
- Membership of a relevant professional institute.
- Experience managing engineering scope from concept through to EPC delivery.
- Background in commercial or defence nuclear projects.
