The Role:
- With 8 loading bays and 30-40 routes daily, we need a skilled driver to ensure efficient and safe movement of vehicles around the clients yard, setting up vehicles for the next day’s routes and maintaining smooth operations.
- Efficiently shunt trailers around the site to ensure smooth operations.
- Assist in preparation of vehicles for routes.
- Taking vehicles to garage for required and scheduled maintenance.
- Conduct vehicle checks and ensure all equipment is in top condition.
- Maintain a high standard of health and safety compliance.
- Collaborate with the logistics team to meet daily targets.
- Keep accurate records and communicate effectively with the operations team.
What We’re Looking For:
- Valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) license with relevant CPC and Digi Tacho Card.
- A minimum of two years HGV1 experience.
- Experience in shunting or similar roles.
- Strong knowledge of site safety regulations.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
