Titan are currently working with a Freight Forwarder based in North Lanarkshire who are looking for an Ocean Import Operator to join their team. This role requires similar experience of working within a busy Freight Forwarding environment and a good understanding of the necessary processes and documentation.
Role responsibilities:
- Arrangement of international consignments according to client instructions and requirements
- End to end freight forwarding working within the Ocean Import team
- Liaising with shipping lines and partners to arrange shipments
- Confirming quotes, pricing and timelines with clients for shipments
- Tracking all shipments and notifying clients of any changes to timings of cargo arriving
- Ensure all enquiries or other communications are actioned promptly and efficiently
- Provide professional handling of any customer queries
Requirements:
- Knowledge and understanding of ocean imports
- Good communication skills, both verbal & written
- Friendly, calm and professional manner
- Accustomed to working to fixed deadlines and under pressure
- Enthusiastic, flexible and self-motivated
