Lead Credit Risk Analyst

Overview

We are hiring a Credit Risk Analyst for a leading lending company. The role focuses on developing and implementing credit risk strategy to support profitability across unsecured and secured lending, using analytic tools such as SAS, SQL, and Python.

Responsibilities

• Reporting on credit risk insights and trends to senior stakeholders
• Using analytics skills to improve credit risk systems
• Maintaining credit risk systems to remain in line with regulation
• Spotting trends to identify ways to increase profitability for credit risk
• Developing new lending opportunities across the business
• Developing credit risk strategy for the entire credit risk life cycle

Skills and Experience

• Strong experience with SAS (SQL and Python would be ideal as well)
• Experience as a credit risk analyst in an analytical position
• Experience working in financial services (ideally a bank or building society)
• A numeric degree from a top university

Compensation

Up to £55,000 + benefits package
