The Role: A 2-Shift based electrician who will safely execute planned, preventative, and reactive engineering tasks in a timely manner. Compliance to all legal and local policies & guidance relating to engineering and maintenance. Working proactively as part of an engineering team to ensure maximum machine efficiency (reduce downtime and set-up time).
Main Duties & Responsibilities:
- Ensuring the safe execution of planned, preventative, and reactive engineering tasks in a timely manner.
- Compliance to all legal and local policies & guidance relating to maintenance and machine setting.
- Working proactively as part of an engineering team to ensure maximum machine efficiency (reduce downtime and set-up time).
- Maintaining accurate maintenance records.
- Maintaining good housekeeping standards and a clean as you go policy.
- Setting and calibration of machine tooling ready for production in a safe and timely manner.
- Liaising with production operators to find root causes and appropriate corrective actions.
- Being the first point of contact for all machinery break downs on your assigned shift.
- Developing cross functional skills (mechanical and electrical).
- Supporting the engineering management in building an engineering team and related process fit for future challenges.
- Must be able to demonstrate a working knowledge of the Electricity at Work Regulations and current edition of the Wiring Regulations.
- Experience of Electrical fault finding in a manufacturing environment.
