Right2Work are seeking a Learning Support Assistant to support the Future Choices programme, which is designed to enable individuals to make life choices. Our focus includes young people and adults looking to transition into employment, further education and personal development.

Offering a blend of classroom and community activities, this programme provides tailored guidance, skill-building opportunities, and real-world work experience to help learners gain confidence, independence and employability skills.

At Future Choices we offer a blend of day service opportunities to promote personal development and social engagement and a Pre-Supported Internship element to the programme designed to help individuals transition into employment. The programme seeks to promote social engagement, life skills, and personal growth. These pathways include enrichment activities and community participation, ensuring a well-rounded approach to learners' development.

The Pre-Supported Internship element to the programme provides a structured pathway for learners to develop essential workplace skills, gain hands-on experience, and build confidence in a supportive environment. This lays the foundations for Right2Work's Supported Internship, which completes the learner's transition out of education and into work.

The Role:

In this position as Learning Support Assistant, you will work three days a week at our offices in Barrow. Experience is not required as full training is provided. This is a unique role with no two days the same, working across a wide range of host employment & learning settings. This exciting opportunity will provide you with a varied and interesting role, to work as a part of an award-winning team and will give you job satisfaction that most other work cannot.

The role can involve; support with completion of tasks, observations, creating prompts, checklists, task analysis, setting achievable targets, supporting communication skills, supporting with interview skills and travel training where appropriate. You will help individuals with skills, qualifications and job matching, and liaise with learners and employers, supporting learners to develop their independence and reach their full potential. Key tasks will include: Working 1:1 with learners, group working, travel training, observations and prompts, working closely with employers & training providers.

The candidate:

We are looking for a range of transferrable skills, including good organisation, self-motivation, and having the determination to support people to succeed. You must be passionate, committed and share our values about employment opportunities for disabled and disadvantaged people.

You must hold a Full Driving license and use of a vehicle for work and will be required to undertake an Enhanced DBS check (Paid for by Right2work, T&Cs apply).
