Full-time, permanent Experience: 5+ years Our product lineup features more than 100 ETFs spanning disruptive technology, equity income, commodities, hard-to-access emerging markets, and more. Global X is a member of Mirae Asset Global Investments, a Seoul-based global enterprise which offers asset management expertise worldwide. The trader will work closely with the Head of Portfolio Management, COO and wider teams to manage the trading for 35+ UCITS ETF portfolios, representing approximately $2+ billion AUM and predominantly invested in global equity emerging and developed markets. While the primary focus of the position is on trading and the related infrastructure, the role also includes portfolio management responsibilities. Trading Manage trading operations across UCITS Global X ETFs by developing trade execution strategies to achieve individual fund’s investment objectives: Manage complex equity trading, including building up and disposing of large or illiquid equity positions in global emerging and developed markets Manage the trading and settlement of other OTC derivatives used across Global X UCITS funds Manage the trading of fixed income securities, mainly treasuries and TIPS with possible expansions to other fixed income assets classes Transaction Costs Analysis – Best Execution: ~ Provide close monitoring of TCA including trading commissions and fees, slippage against benchmark index, implementation shortfall, etc. on a daily basis to determine performance impact to the fund, fulfill reporting obligations, and develop optimal trading strategies for subsequent trade activities Lead the development and maintenance of key infrastructure, including trading systems and reporting packages Collaborate across internal functions to ensure proper operational support for investment activities: Work closely with broader Trading and Portfolio Management teams to provide trading feedback and develop optimal trading strategies for each of the portfolio Work closely with Head of Portfolio Management, compliance and risk functions to identify areas of risk and develop robust controls to mitigate such risks Maintain broad knowledge and awareness of key industry developments and trends, including with respect to emerging investment themes Ensuring funds track their underlying indices while adhering to regulatory restrictions and constraints Adding value through pragmatic and risk-controlled investment decisions Implementing corporate actions and executing scheduled and ad hoc fund rebalances Performing data analyses to support internal reporting and sales efforts Degree required, with a preference for CFA Charterholders or candidates ~5+ years of experience in equity trading on behalf of ETFs or passive funds ~ Strong knowledge of compliance and risk considerations of operating trading function within a MIFID investment manager ~ In-depth knowledge of a broad range of investment vehicles and delta-one products ~ Proficiency in programming tools such as Python, SQL, and VBA is a plus ~ Ability to lead projects with strong attention to detail, communication, and teamwork skills ~ Expert knowledge of UCITS ETF microstructure, PCF basket construction, creation/redemption processes, global custody, and fund accounting ~ Global X offers a competitive salary and benefits package.
