Job Description
As the Sponsorship Sales Manager, your key responsibilities will include:
- Consistently meet and exceed sponsorship sales targets for each assigned conference.
- Employ a consultative/challenger approach to effectively communicate the benefits of sponsorship.
- Develop customised, needs-based proposals that align client objectives with event offerings.
- Proactively generate new business leads through various channels.
- Conduct thorough research and build prospect databases using industry intelligence and tools like Apollo.
- Manage the entire sales cycle, from prospecting and negotiation to contract signing and post-sale client management, ensuring seamless execution of sponsorship agreements.
- Maintain accurate sales pipeline management and forecasting.
- Adhere to Strategy Institute's sales processes and best practices.
- Collaborate effectively with the conference team to balance sales opportunities with content quality, maximise event promotion, and ensure smooth on-site execution.
The Successful Applicant
The successful Sponsorship Sales Manager candidate will have the following:
- Minimum 2 years B2B media/events sales experience.
- Proven track record in B2B sales, preferably within the publishing, conference, or exhibition industry.
- Demonstrated success in a full-cycle (360°) sales role, with a focus on outbound lead generation.
- Experience using lead generation software (e.g., Apollo) and CRM systems (familiarity with HubSpot is a plus).
