How would you like to be paid for five days but only work four? Our colleaguesâ wellbeing is at the heart of everything we do at OFG, so weâre always looking for new ways to improve everyoneâs work/life balance. Weâre taking part in a trial of the 4-Day Working Week, meaning that you could be working one day less a week (or equivalent).

Salary: ÂŁ13,000 per annum (ÂŁ12.50 per hour)
Hours: 20 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Contract: Permanent, 52 weeks

We are looking for a Domestic Assistant for our New Options Autism School - Orchards Manor School, Near Kings Lynn, Downham Market.
About the roleTo provide the school with a high level of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the whole building layout.
Key Task Areas and Responsibilities- To promote the good reputation of the school by cleaning all areas to the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
- To ensure all equipment and chemicals are used and handled correctly at all times, in accordance with manufacturerâs instructions, COSHH regulations and health and safety legislation.
- To carry out all daily and weekly routines together with any special cleaning duties as directed and necessary.
- To support other members of the domestic team to complete work that requires extra members of staff to complete the task.
- To assist in the operation of the laundry where necessary.
- To report all compliments, comments and complaints.
- To report any defects, damage, theft, breakages or hazards.
- To carry out all duties in a safe manner having regard for the health, safety and welfare of self, staff, Service Users and other persons on site.
- Relevant experience of domestic duties.
- Experience of effective cleaning practices.
- Good working knowledge of domestic practices.
- Good knowledge of domestic duties including the use and storage of relevant products.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Our New Options Autism School â Orchards Manor School is proposed to open in June 2025 and will have capacity for 72 pupils with a variety of complex needs including ASC. For over 16 years Options Autism have provided care and education to pupils, young people and adults with autism, complex needs and learning difficulties.
