We’re urgently supporting a well-established NHS and Private dental practice in Derby to recruit Associate Dentists or Locum Dentists for regular, ongoing work. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a supportive team, with flexible days, a stable patient base and excellent earning potential. The practice is mixed NHS/private, modern and patient-focused. They are looking to expand the business.
Duties
- Provide high-quality NHS dental care in line with UDA targets
- Carry out routine dental procedures including examinations, fillings, extractions, and preventive treatments
- Manage a list of NHS patients with autonomy and clinical freedom
- Maintain clear and accurate clinical records in accordance with GDC and NHS guidelines
- Deliver patient care in a timely and efficient manner, ensuring excellent chairside manner
- Liaise with practice staff and management to ensure smooth day-to-day operations
- Provide private treatments or upsell where appropriate
Skills
- GDC registered with active NHS Performer Number
- Sound understanding of NHS dental contracts and UDA-based work
- Ability to work efficiently and meet UDA expectations
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills – friendly and professional with patients
- Excellent clinical judgement and time management
