We have an exciting opportunity for an Accounts & Tax Senior to join our growing Leicester office. As an Accounts & Tax Senior, you'll play a crucial role in preparing accounts and tax computations, mentoring junior staff, and working closely with managers and partners to deliver high-quality client service. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong technical knowledge, a keen eye for detail, and a passion for helping clients succeed.
Key responsibilities of the Accounts & Tax Senior will include:
- Prepare accounts working files, summaries, and discussion points for managers or partners.
- Produce personal and corporate tax computations, including provisions for accounts.
- Supervise, coach, and develop junior staff to maintain high standards of work.
- Maintain regular communication with clients, including handling non-technical matters such as debt collection.
- Attend internal training sessions and seminars to further develop your technical skills and maintain up-to-date knowledge.
- Keep systems, procedures, and personal working knowledge of software up to date.
- Follow internal policies and contribute to administrative tasks such as billing.
Qualifications would need to be ideally either part or fully qualified ACCA/ACA:
- Proven experience in accounts preparation and tax within a professional services environment.
- Strong technical knowledge in accounting and taxation, with the ability to identify planning opportunities.
- Demonstrated ability to supervise, mentor, and develop junior staff.
- Highly organised with excellent time management skills to juggle multiple assignments.
- Competent in using accounting and tax software.
- Commitment to ongoing learning and development through internal and external training.
