Full-time, permanent role. Salary: Newly Qualified Band 5 or Band 6 role available. Hours: Monday - Friday full-time.

As a Speech and Language Therapist you will hold a caseload within the College where you will provide a service to young adults aged 16 to 25 years. Your input will play a vital role in preparing individuals for adulthood and enabling them to engage meaningfully in their communities.

This is a unique opportunity to build meaningful, long-term relationships with young people, seeing first-hand the positive impact of your support on their learning, independence, and overall quality of life.

The College is set in a beautiful rural location with extensive grounds to explore. The site includes catering facilities with a cafeteria, and a central hub with five dedicated learning bases. We have an on-site animal husbandry provision and horticulture area, offering students hands-on, practical learning experiences.

Your main responsibilities as a Speech and Language Therapist:

  • Promote functional communication in everyday contexts by embedding support across the curriculum, which may include subjects such as Creative Arts, Environmental learning (animal care, gardening and woodland studies), Personal Development and Work Skills, Functional skills, Independent living, Duke of Edinburgh, Reading.

What we are looking for in a Speech and Language Therapist:

  • HCPC Registered or pending registration if newly qualified
  • Experience, either life experience, placement or in post, working in relevant areas (e.g. learning disability, specialist school settings, mental health settings) will be of benefit.
