Job Title: Director / Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) – Start-Up IDNO Location: United Kingdom Salary: Competitive Package + Benefits E1 Partners is recruiting on behalf of a well-established Energy business who are looking for a Director/CCO to establish a new Independent Distribution Network Operator (IDNO) as part of a larger group, positioning themselves as a leader in the energy infrastructure market. The client is looking for a Director / CCO to help set up the IDNO from scratch including commercials, regulation, and licensing. This is a unique opportunity to play a pivotal role in shaping the direction and success of a high-growth business. Key Responsibilities: Strategic Leadership – Develop and execute a business strategy that delivers sustainable growth, market share, and profitability. Commercial Oversight – Drive revenue growth by identifying and securing commercial opportunities, partnerships, and innovative projects. Regulatory & Licensing activities – guide the company through the regulatory and licensing process with Ofgem. Stakeholder Engagement – Build and maintain relationships with key external stakeholders, including regulators, investors, and industry partners, to support commercial objectives. Team Leadership – Recruit, mentor, and lead a high-performing team to support operational and commercial goals. Financial Management – Take ownership of financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, and achieving key performance targets. Market Expansion – Identify opportunities to enhance the company’s footprint and offerings within the energy market. Experience: Proven track record in senior leadership roles within the energy or infrastructure sector, ideally with experience setting up or running an IDNO. Strong commercial acumen with a focus on driving revenue and profitability in a competitive market. Expertise in identifying and capitalizing on market opportunities and partnerships. Deep understanding of regulatory and operational frameworks in the UK energy sector. Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to navigate the challenges of a start-up environment.
