We are recruiting on behalf of a global shipping company and forward-thinking organisation dedicated to driving decarbonisation and energy transition within the shipping and logistics sectors. With a strong global footprint and bold sustainability ambitions, the company is now seeking a highly motivated Business Development Manager to support the expansion of their low-carbon initiatives.
This role will focus on the identification, development, and execution of decarbonisation-related projects, particularly in areas such as carbon capture, hydrogen, ammonia, and wind power. Responsibilities include:
- Researching emerging decarbonisation markets and shaping commercial strategies around them.
- Managing commercial project execution, coordinating key milestones, budgets, and resources.
- Negotiating contracts, engaging with legal, tax, and financial advisors, and overseeing stakeholder relationships.
Requirements:
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in commercial project execution or infrastructure investment, ideally within shipping, energy, or decarbonisation.
- Strong background in contract negotiation, financial structuring, and cross-border project development.
- Experience with CCS systems/LCO2 Shipping is beneficial.
- Degree in Engineering, Finance, or related field.
- Proficient in MS Office, with working knowledge of investment modelling and tax/legal structuring.
Involvement in pioneering decarbonisation projects across the maritime and energy landscape is essential.
