Education Solicitor – Middlesex A leading law firm is seeking an experienced Education Solicitor for a Senior Associate position within their Uxbridge office in Middlesex. This is an exciting opportunity with a multi-office and full-service law firm that has an excellent reputation. This opportunity is well suited to an Education Solicitor or Legal Executive with at least 4 years of PQE focusing on Education law. The team assist with school admission appeals, exclusions, complaints, special educational needs, discrimination, academic misconduct, non-academic misconduct, and issues regarding PhDs and Fitness to Practise. The role: Managing own education caseload, providing a high-quality legal service to clients Assisting clients with all aspects of education law including work from parents on behalf of children at primary and secondary school. Working with young adults at university Providing advice to clients on merits, quantum, deadlines and options for legal remedies Drafting letters of advice to clients and pre-action protocols Submitting complaints to schools, colleges and universities Advising clients on litigation, including judicial review Negotiating resolutions on behalf of clients Preparing papers for internal appeals at schools, colleges, local authorities and universities Applications are welcome from Education Solicitors or Legal Executives with the following: A clean and current practising certificate Previous experience in a similar role, offering at least 4 years post-qualification experience. Strong organisational and IT skills Previous experience of managing and leading people within a team; supporting junior members of the team in developing and widening their own career progression and legal experience
