Specialist Sports Group is a well-established and expanding sporting goods agency offering Sales, Marketing, Distribution, and Creative solutions to performance sports brands including world leading brand adidas. The category portfolio includes Rugby, Hockey, Cricket, Netball, Tennis, Track & Field, Golf, Olympic Sports and Teamwear featuring a range of products used by many of the world’s best athletes and grassroots enthusiasts. Specialist Sports are custodians of the adidas brand in many of these categories and hold Sports Marketing contracts with relevant Governing Bodies, leading clubs, and athletes.
Alongside distribution rights, the Group holds the global license to manufacture adidas apparel, accessories, and hardgoods categories including Rugby, Hockey and Cricket in support of the wider commercial strategy.
The Marketing Director will be responsible for overseeing and executing the company’s marketing strategy across all brands and each sport category. This individual will lead the marketing team, collaborate across departments, and play a key role in shaping the company’s direction.
- Lead, mentor, and manage the Marketing team to deliver the Marketing strategy and plans
- Manage external partners including agencies and freelancers
- Plan and manage multi-channelled campaigns including digital, social, events, and PR
- Track and monitor campaign performance and provide reports based on results
Content Creation & Social Management
- Oversee the development and execution of on brand content (adhering to brand guidelines) across multiple formats to support product launches and campaigns which drive engagement
- Organise content shoots involving key stakeholders including brands and sponsored athletes
- Track content performance and present results to key stakeholders
- Oversee the management of brand social channels and Specialist Sports channels including planning and scheduling content
Own and manage the Marketing budgets across each Sport, within Specialist Sports and Specialist Sports Creation. Monitor and report on Marketing spend. Reallocate Marketing spend where appropriate. Provide regular updates on campaign plans and performance internally and with brand stakeholders (including adidas).
eCommerce and Brand Website Management:
- Lead strategy, execution, and optimisation of the brand’s eCommerce operations
- Oversee the management and continuous improvement of partner brand websites, ensuring an exceptional user experience, mobile responsiveness, and effective integration of content, ticketing, and merchandise platforms
- Monitor site analytics, conversion rates, and customer behaviour to inform strategy and improve performance
7-10 years of Marketing experience, including management of a team. Proven track record of leading successful integrated marketing campaigns. Creative thinker with results driven mindset. Expertise in digital marketing, social media strategy, content creation, and analytics tools.
