Hours: Full-time – 10 sessions per week

We are seeking to appoint an experienced Community Consultant Paediatrician to work with our client NELFT. You will join another 4wte Consultant Paediatricians, 1wte Specialist Grade Doctor, 2wte Specialty Doctors, and 2wte Core/GP Trainees within the service, and will have the opportunity to influence future direction, treatment, and models of design in the area in which you work.

Requirements:

  • Full GMC registration with a licence to practice
  • CCT or equivalent
  • Inclusion in, or eligibility for inclusion in the Specialist Register or within 6 months of obtaining CCST
  • At least 2 years’ experience in Community Child Health.

Job Role and Expectations:

  • Work as part of multidisciplinary teams providing care to babies, children and young people across Barking & Dagenham.
  • Provide senior medical support and guidance to the team.
  • Work directly with babies, children and young people, and their families and liaise as appropriate with other external health providers and acute hospitals.
  • Participate in the local Child Protection rota.
  • Support your peers and team leader, and be an effective team member whilst allowing them to work with their own initiative.
  • Commit to collaborative working, actively supporting and liaising with other health and social professionals, and agencies.
