The role involves constructing bespoke wooden crates to protect valuable artwork and museum objects during transport. This hands-on position requires precision, attention to detail, and expertise in woodworking, machining, and protective packaging design.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Construct high-quality custom crates tailored to specific artwork and museum objects.
  • Read and interpret technical drawings and job sheets to ensure precision.
  • Design and adapt crating structures to provide optimal protection against pressure and handling risks.
  • Operate woodworking machinery, including routers, saws, and planers.
  • Fit and secure crate components, support structures, and mounting materials.
