Alchemy Global Talent Solutions is partnering with a leading Fine Art Shipping company to recruit a Crating Manager based in Sydney, Australia. This is an exciting opportunity to join a world-class team specialising in the safe transport of paintings, artefacts, and museum objects for institutions worldwide.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the crating production team and workshop operations.
  • Oversee internal and external client relationships with strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Handle the safe packing and transportation of fine art, museum objects, and high-value items.
  • Ensure museum-standard crate construction, including interior fitouts.
  • Manage cost estimations, budgeting, and expenses efficiently.
  • Supervise artwork handling, packing, and installation processes.
  • Maintain high standards of quality control and health & safety compliance.
  • Train and develop team members, ensuring best practices in handling and packing.
  • Collaborate with galleries, museums, and institutions to meet client expectations.
  • Ensure attention to detail in all crate production and packing activities.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in fine art crating and leading a team.
  • Proven expertise in museum-standard crate construction, packing, and interior fitouts.
  • Strong ability to estimate costs, manage budgets, and oversee project expenses.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Physically fit and capable of handling all aspects of the role.
  • Must have a clear police record for visa and relocation purposes.
