A leading Infrastructure Consulting firm is looking for Senior Consultants to join their Energy Consulting team in the North, focusing on Electrical Engineering and Advisory. The business has won multiple awards for best in class across a range of industries and services and is recognised as a leader in their field. They offer a suite of services to clients across the built environment, from advisory to construction and engineering, digital, sustainability, and project & programme management - along with having an excellent culture.
The business provides candidates the opportunity to work on some of the most complex and forward thinking projects in the market, which really make a difference to communities and business. The candidates coming in will sit in a small Energy Advisory team that operates across both Engineering and Consultancy based in Leeds, York, Sheffield, Manchester and Liverpool, and will be responsible for the below:
- Provide expert advice to clients based on a strong engineering and technical background.
- Consult on net zero solutions and decarbonisation developments under various energy vectors & domains, including low carbon hydrogen, CCUS, Wind, Solar, New Fuels & Tidal, as well as energy distribution, district heating/cooling, renewable electricity generation (solar photovoltaic, wind and biomass), and low carbon heat generation in the Northwest and Yorkshire geography as well as the wider UKIMEA region.
- Work on sustainability policy development and analysis, carbon management, renewables and climate services with regional stakeholders.
- Work for a range of clients including national, regional, and local government, energy developers, education establishments, industry, and healthcare providers.
- Optimise process for asset management applications.
- Decarbonisation masterplanning at an estate, city, regional and national scale.
- Contribute to the development of integrated projects with wider portfolio teams, prepare bids for client opportunities & funding rounds, specifically in the areas of decarbonisation.
This role is hybrid with time in office, client site and home and the business is open to considering candidates based in any of the above locations. Salary is also negotiable, based on experience and performance through the process.
