Your role: The Site Engineer's (SE) core responsibility is to perform infrastructure related activities in our Data Centres to ensure a reliable and efficient operation of the technical infrastructure. This is achieved through maintenance, testing and surveillance of all assets installed. This role is responsible for troubleshooting, assembly and day to day scheduling of maintenance tasks. It is also critical to meet Service Level Agreements (SLA’s) and deliver client satisfaction, and when applicable being part of a 7x24 shift rotation.
Drive adherence to company safety policies, operational efficiency, and core values. Ensure compliance with industry standards and legal requirements. Manage maintenance and repair operations, including coordination with subcontractors. Provide supervision to Site Engineers I, including task assignment, performance evaluation, and professional development guidance. Demonstrate advanced proficiency in technical skills pertinent to the role, covering troubleshooting and maintenance tasks. Responsible for writing and reviewing of operating procedures and assisting with the planning of critical maintenance/change requests.
Experience in ‘Mission critical’ operations and maintenance of large scale electrotechnical and/or mechanical systems. Technical education/training certification in the field of ‘Mission Critical’ Operations. Skilled in maintenance of electrotechnical and/or mechanical systems. Education to a vocational level in a technical field and/or site engineering position. A good level of computer literacy, specifically in Excel, Word, Outlook etc. Able to work in shifts. Knowledge of fire detection and suppression systems. HVAC Mechanical and/or Electrical. Pro-active with a Customer and Business focused and is searching for ways to enhance the agreed services to provide the customer with the best possible outcome.
