Escape Recruitment is working with a leading manufacturing business in Motherwell to appoint a Machine Shop Inspector to join their Quality team.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Inspecting machine shop components and materials.
- Calibrating precision measuring equipment in line with QMS and ISO requirements.
- Maintaining accurate calibration and inspection records.
- Managing inspection materials stock and raising purchase orders.
- Using specialist inspection equipment.
- Investigating quality issues and liaising with Quality Engineers and the Engineering department.
- Making clear decisions on accept/reject criteria and raising SAP documentation.
- Supporting other inspection areas when needed.
What You’ll Bring:
- Time-served background in mechanical engineering.
- Recognised qualification such as City & Guilds or Mechanical Engineering Technician.
- Strong understanding of machine shop products and inspection techniques.
