We are looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer to work in Milton Keynes, you will have a strong background in Mechanical Design using Inventor 3D and AutoCAD 2D. You will be working within an existing team assisting with ongoing projects which cover a wide variety of sectors including Defence. As a Mechanical Design Engineer you will be working on enclosures and fabricated metal work. You will be working on multiple projects at a time but will be focused on the quality of your work in this low-volume manufacturing company.

Essential functions and duties:

  • Working with the team on existing 3D designs
  • To ensure Design Solutions meet internal & external customer requirements and deadlines.
  • To assist in the design of enclosures and fabricated products.
  • To ensure products, processes and procedures comply fully with applicable legal requirements, company policies and commercial standards, including RoHS.
  • To ensure all design information is fully documented and stored in the appropriate product design and product technical files.

Qualifications / Experience:

  • 5+ years demonstrable experience in a mechanical design role working in a design for manufacture product development environment.
  • Significant experience in the design of mechanical enclosures and metal fabrications.
  • Competence on design based IT systems: 3D Inventor, AutoCAD 2D, NASTRAN, along with other analysis tools.
