Management AccountantLocation: Derby (with occasional travel to other UK and international sites)Division: FinanceContract: Full-time | PermanentReports to: Financial ControllerSalary: £50,000 to £55,000Benefits: EV Company Car, 9% pension, 10% bonusThe OpportunityA well-established and forward-thinking engineering and technology business is seeking a Management Accountant to join its Head Office finance function at its Derby site near Kegworth.  This is a hybrid working role with one day a week onsite in Derby and one day a week onsite in Luton.  An EV Company Car will be provided and all expenses covered for travel to the Luton site.  You'll also work a shorter day for the days you travel to Luton.This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified accountant looking to broaden their impact in a role that combines management accounting, reporting, budgeting, and business partnering across a dynamic and evolving organisation.You will be responsible for preparing accurate and timely monthly management accounts, supporting budgeting processes, and working closely with various internal stakeholders to provide financial insights that drive performance and decision-making.Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver accurate monthly management accounts and internal reports
• Ensure group reporting requirements are met within tight deadlines
• Support in the preparation and analysis of CAPEX and OPEX budgets
• Assist with the annual statutory audit process
• Liaise with managers across the business to enhance financial awareness and accountability
• Contribute to the ongoing development of financial systems and reporting tools
• Mentor and support junior finance team members
• Assist with ad-hoc projects and senior management requests to support business performance

What We’re Looking ForWe are looking for a proactive, qualified accountant who thrives in a collaborative and international environment. You will need strong technical skills and a hands-on approach to improving processes, along with the ability to communicate clearly across all levels of the business.Essential:

• CIMA, ACCA or ACA qualified
• Post-qualification experience gained in industry
• Advanced Excel skills and working knowledge of ERP systems
• Solid understanding of accounting principles and practices
• Strong attention to detail and an analytical mindset

Desirable:

• Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field
• Experience within a multinational or matrix-structured organisation
