Adept Resourcing is partnering with an organisation based in Pontefract, on the lookout for an Electrical Design Engineer.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop detailed electrical designs and schematics for modular enclosures and power equipment
- Produce wiring diagrams, cable schedules, and technical documentation compliant with industry standards
- Collaborate closely with mechanical engineers, project managers, and manufacturing teams to ensure seamless design integration
- Apply knowledge of BS 7671 Wiring Regulations and other relevant electrical standards
- Review and update designs based on client specifications and project requirements
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and design optimisation to enhance product performance and manufacturability
- Participate in design reviews, quality checks, and compliance audits
Requirements:
- Proven experience as an Electrical Design Engineer, ideally within power generation, switchgear, or industrial enclosure sectors
- Proficiency with electrical CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN, or similar)
- Understanding of electrical wiring regulations and standards (BS 7671 or equivalent)
- Ability to interpret and produce detailed technical drawings and documentation
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams
- Degree or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering or related field preferred
Working Hours:
- Monday to Thursday: 7am - 4pm (Early finish on Friday)
- 40 hours per week
- Business closed on Bank Holidays and during the Christmas/New Year period
