The predicted salary is between 28800 - 42000 £ per year.
To support an effective sub-contracting transport operation, ensuring integrity of customer/supplier service requirements. To manage commercial aspects to ensure profit and service/quality targets are achieved. An entrepreneurial approach is advantageous, being able to embrace new business opportunities and engage with sub-contractors. To work collaboratively with other business units and stakeholders in the Swain Group. To ensure all legislative and regulatory requirements, including customs activities, are upheld and the highest standards of health & safety are maintained.
Duties
- Sub-contracting of UK & European FTL and LTL cargo.
- Ensure effective and efficient use of subcontracted driver and vehicle resources.
- Ensuring customer service level requirements are upheld.
- Ensuring compliance with customs regulations.
- Actively seeking opportunities to further develop our UK & European operations.
- Maintain and report on service levels against agreed KPI criteria.
- Promote effective and efficient standards of work, in order to comply with transport legislation, company policy and Health & Safety legislation.
Knowledge & Experience
- Experienced logistics professional with relevant qualifications/experience with a thorough understanding of transport operations, particularly sub-contracting.
- Demonstrable experience of customer relationship management.
- Working with minimum supervision.
- Customs experience (desirable).
- Engaging with customer.
- Planning, organising and flexibility.
- Problem solving and decision making.
- Continually improving.
- Competent in using Microsoft applications including Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Developing self and others.
