Taylor Stevenson are proud to be working in partnership with a thriving client based in Doncaster who are looking for a Management Accountant to join their team on a 12 month contract as maternity cover.
This is a great opportunity to work for a company going through rapid periods of growth whilst maintaining a great company culture.
You will be supporting the Financial Controller with the management accounts as well as assisting when needed at the transactional level.
Responsibilities:
- Preparation of full monthly management accounts, supporting information and reporting suite
- Balance sheet reconciliation including ownership of fixed asset register and monthly balance sheet reconciliations
- Monthly preparation of Accruals
- Monthly preparation of Prepayments
- Responsible for maintaining the Fixed Asset Register
- Responsible for monthly analysis of Overheads
- Analysing variances on overheads budget to actual
- Complete the Group Reporting Pack including report and analysis monthly
- Cashflow projections
- Calculations of monthly stock provisions
- Calculations of monthly bad debt provisions
- Monthly summary of the Customer Rebate Provisions
- On a weekly and monthly basis preparation and posting of journals
- Responsible for VAT Return preparation and Submission
- Daily Group Reporting
- Weekly and Monthly Reporting
- Implementing the key performance indicators
- Attend weekly and monthly meetings
- When required cover for either the Financial Controller or Accounts Supervisor.
Skills required:
- Ideally will hold (or working towards) an accountancy qualification or QBE with relevant experience
- Proactive
- Experience with Microsoft Office including Excel at an intermediate/advanced level
- Analytical approach
- Previous experience working within a similar role is essential.
Monday-Friday, 8.30am-5.30pm (with some flexibility)
Salary: £40k-£50k with a bonus at completion of the 12 months.
