Rite Directions is an established and progressive company that has beenproviding care and accommodation to children and young people since2008. We care for children and young people with ages ranging from 8-18and specialise in working with vulnerable children and young people witha range of behavioural, complex needs in a child- centred therapeuticapproach to care. We have a record with our local authority partners forachieving regular good outcomes for those that we care for and supportthem to make real positive achievements. We are looking to recruit an experienced registered manager to lead our home for children with learning disabilities to a high standard with positive Ofsted Ratings, someone who shares ourethos, is passionate, innovative, and willing to go above and beyond to ensure that the children and young people in our care have an experience of childhood they can reflect upon and carry with them into adulthood. The role involves responsibility for all aspects of the day to dayrunning of the home, it will be busy and varied, you will be integral tothe smooth running of daily life in the home, enabling children to thrive. You will inspire and lead your team to manage a warm andnurturing home that provides a safe and supportive environment whilstalso achieving compliance with the Children Homes Regulations andensuring that your home is able to evidence a high standard of quality and care. You will be responsible for safeguarding matters, facilitatingtraining, and accessing appropriate services to support childcarepractices within the home. You will lead a team of colleagues and facilitate their professional development so that they can deliver high-quality care and support and are enabled to fulfil their own career potential too. You will be supported by our Responsible Individual and other senior managers in the recruitment of colleagues, implement and monitor care and relevant plans to meet the individual needs of our children and young people, ensuring that key life and independence skills are achieved in the enriching and positive environment we strive to create. You will consult professionally with partner agencies and commissioningbodies, supervise, monitor, and evaluate the care delivered to thechildren and young people, undertake the monitoring of regular andperiodic quality assurance systems, facilitate regular team meetings,and attend monthly managers meetings as an active member offeringperformance related feedback on the home and staff team. The successful candidate will Hold Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and management (ResidentialChildcare) or be working towards Have a minimum of 2 years experience of managing an Ofsted homein the capacity of a registered manager. Have experience of working with children and young people with complex needs includingchallenging behaviour behavioural problems Have a therapeutic approach to care. Promote a positive, caring environment in which young people canachieve their individual targets. Full UK Driving license (preferred) Excellent knowledge of current legislation – The Childrens Homes England Regulations 2015, Quality Standards 2015, the Childrens Act1989, Children Act 2004 alongside all other legislations that arerelevant to residential childrens homes.
