Our client is an established company based in the Stone area; they are seeking a Management Accountant to join their friendly team. Working in an open plan office, this role will be working in the Accounts team and will be providing financial information to the Directors. This is an integral role within a business that has plans for growth over the coming years and there is a great opportunity to join them at this exciting time. They are passionate about their team and place great emphasis on looking after their team.

Duties for the Management Accountant will include:

  • Supervision of the Accounts Assistant

  • Preparation of monthly management accounts

  • Accurately processing the monthly payroll

  • Overseeing bank reconciliations for GBP and EU accounts

  • Overseeing management of account receivables and accounts payables

  • Monitoring cash flow

  • Authorisation of bank payments

  • Checking payment runs, credit card statements, and expenses prepared by the accounts assistant.

  • Liaising with and providing information to the auditors on an annual basis

  • Overseeing credit control and managing bad debts

  • Maintaining and managing credit limits often liaising and negotiating with customers, credit insurers, and sales managers

  • Prepare information for VAT reporting

  • Liaise with customers by email and telephone

  • Minimum AAT Level 4 Qualified

  • Ideally, CIMA/ACCA part-qualified

  • Must have experience in management accounting

  • Knowledge of Sage 50 accounts is desirable

  • Ideally previous supervisory skills

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Strong analytical abilities

  • Effective communication and people skills

  • Problem-solving abilities

  • Ability to meet deadlines
