Are you a seasoned Employee Relations professional with a passion for navigating complex cases and driving positive change? My client is looking for an Employee Relations Specialist to join their dynamic team and act as a trusted advisor on all employee relations matters.

Role Purpose: As an Employee Relations Specialist, you will work closely with line managers, HRBPs, HR Ops, the wider HR function, and legal teams to deliver fair, compliant, and commercially smart outcomes. Your expertise will be crucial in managing high-impact change processes and sensitive cases.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Case Management: Handle complex and high-risk cases including disciplinary, grievance, sickness absence, capability, performance, appeals, early conciliation, and Employment Tribunal claims.
  • Consultation Support: Assist HRBPs with consultations for business change projects such as restructures, redundancy (individual and collective), TUPE, and changes in terms and conditions.
  • Continuous Improvement: Lead ER-related projects, policy updates, and initiatives to drive continuous improvement.
  • Legal Compliance: Stay updated on UK employment law, statutory codes, and regulations to ensure organisational compliance.
  • Training & Development: Provide ER training and coaching to enhance manager capabilities and support your own professional development.
  • Stakeholder Management: Build strong relationships with key stakeholders to resolve HR issues effectively and consistently.

Core Competencies:

  • Experience: Over 5 years in Employee Relations, managing complex and high-risk cases.
  • Knowledge: Deep understanding of UK employment law, TUPE, and consultations.
  • Communication: Skilled communicator and influencer, confident in handling sensitive conversations at senior levels.
  • Commercial Acumen: Pragmatic, solution-driven approach with sound judgment.

Qualifications: CIPD qualified or equivalent HR/ER experience.
