An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Council’s Environmental Protection Team. We are looking to recruit an experienced and highly motivated specialist to lead on planning application consultation responses with respect to noise, air quality and contaminated land, the inspection of processes under the Environmental Permitting Regulations 2016, Environmental Protection Licensing consultation responses and statutory nuisance investigations., We provide a range of great benefits such as an Employee Assistance Programme, an Employee Benefits Scheme, wellbeing support, travel rates at HMRC rates, as well as supporting a range of active Employee Network Groups.

Degree in Environmental Health or Environmental Science or equivalent qualification.

Wide experience in the field of Environmental Protection sufficient to take a technical lead role.

The successful applicant will work closely with colleagues across other Council departments and external partner agencies.
