We are looking for a recovery support worker to join our Oldham Mental Health Service, based across OL8, OL4 and OL2. We are seeking a motivated, enthusiastic, inclusive, organised and caring individual with forward-thinking qualities to support our service users to achieve greater independence, with the aim of working in partnership with agencies involved in their support and care planning.
The successful applicant will be able to respond to a fast-paced environment and changing circumstances in people’s lives, with a positive and proactive attitude. The role will involve promoting the rights of service users with mental health needs to move on positively to greater independence.
You will be expected to co-produce support plans with the service users that promote their choices and independence, paying particular attention to areas such as daily living skills, community outreach, and housing goals. You will be involved in fostering and promoting positive tenancy related skills and management. You are likely to engage in a wide range of tasks and activities as part of your role.
