Programme Manager – Streets for People\\n Location: 160 Tooley Street, London Bridge 160 Tooley Street, London, SE1 2QH (Hybrid – Office attendance required on Mondays and Tuesdays)\\n Pay Rate: £36.35 Umbrella per hour\\n Contract Duration: 23 June 2025 to 15 September 2025\\n Hours: 36 per week\\n Interview Dates: 4 June and 5 June 2025\\n\\nSouthwark Council is looking to appoint an experienced Programme Manager to lead the delivery of the council's ambitious Streets for People programme. This role sits within the Environment, Sustainability and Leisure division's Programme Management Office.\\n\\nThe Streets for People strategy outlines a bold commitment to improving quality of life and taking action on climate change by reimagining how people travel and use public spaces. A key part of this plan includes delivering nine new Streetspace schemes designed to reduce traffic through residential areas, enhance accessibility, and increase green space for local communities.\\n\\nKey Responsibilities\\n\\nLead the delivery of the Streets for People programme from planning to implementation\\n\\nManage complex projects and workstreams aligned to council objectives\\n\\nProduce and maintain programme documentation including PIDs, business cases, risk logs and delivery plans\\n\\nDevelop and implement Target Operating Models\\n\\nLead and support multi-disciplinary teams to deliver on programme goals\\n\\nBuild and maintain relationships with senior stakeholders and partners\\n\\nMonitor budgets, control programme costs and ensure efficient resource allocation\\n\\nRequired Skills and Experience\\n\\nEducated to degree level or significant experience in programme and change management\\n\\nQualifications or certification in PRINCE2, MSP, APM or similar project methodologies\\n\\nProven experience delivering transformation programmes in the public sector\\n\\nSkilled in stakeholder management and team leadership\\n\\nStrong knowledge of programme and project planning, budgeting and risk management\\n\\nAbility to simplify complex information and communicate effectively at all levels\\n\\nUnderstanding of procurement processes and business case development\\n\\nWorking Pattern\\n\\nHybrid working with attendance at the London Bridge office on Mondays and Tuesdays\\n\\nHow to Apply\\n\\nTo apply, please send your CV to .
