Job Description

Data Analyst

London – £55,000 + benefits

This is an excellent opportunity for a mid‑level Data Analyst who enjoys variety, ownership, and impact. You’ll work at the heart of a growing data function, helping shape campaigns, improve forecasting, and influence key decisions across the business. If you want a role with real accountability, breadth, and the chance to become a trusted analytical partner — this is it.

The Company

They are a specialist agency with over two decades of experience helping major brands connect with young audiences through insight‑led, socially impactful work. Data underpins everything they do — from campaign planning to client reporting to the development of a major schools‑focused digital platform.

You’ll be joining a small, collaborative data team where autonomy, accuracy, and clear communication really matter.

The Role

As a Data Analyst, you will operate as the central triage point for data questions across the agency. Day‑to‑day, you will:

  • Analyse client‑provided datasets, often in Excel, to uncover insight and measure campaign performance.
  • Support forecasting and modelling for school‑based and consumer campaigns — including expected registrations, timelines, and channel impact.
  • Work closely with their relational database to extract, clean, and manipulate data using SQL.
  • Build and refine Power BI dashboards to improve visibility and reporting accuracy.
  • Ensure data quality and uphold strong QA standards across all outputs.
  • Explain analytical approaches, methods, and assumptions to non‑technical stakeholders.
  • Take increasing ownership of client‑facing conversations around insight and performance.

This role directly influences campaign outcomes, business forecasts, and operational decision‑making.

Your Skills & Experience

Core Requirements

  • 3–5 years’ experience in a Data Analyst role.
  • Strong background in CRM, customer data, or campaign‑focused analytics.
  • Agency, marketing, or similarly fast‑paced environment experience.
  • Advanced Excel (including lookups, conditional formatting, visualisation).
  • Confident SQL skills (joins, selects, manipulation).
  • Power BI experience for dashboards and reporting.
  • Strong data storytelling and the ability to communicate insights clearly.
  • Proven ownership of analysis, QA, and end‑to‑end delivery.

Nice to Have

  • Python or R interest/experience.
  • Exposure to forecasting beyond simple historical extrapolation.
  • Familiarity with UK education structures or previous work involving schools.

What They Offer

  • ÂŁ55,000 base salary
  • Hybrid working with at least two days per week in their London office.
  • The chance to join a growing data function with excellent long‑term progression.
  • High visibility, meaningful responsibility, and a genuinely collaborative culture.
