Belmont Recruitment are currently looking for a Car Parking Attendant to join Liverpool City Council on an initial 3-6 month temporary contract. This is a full-time role working on a shift basis including weekends. The Role As a Car Parking Attendant, you will help to ensure the effective and efficient operation of Liverpool City Council’s parking provision—including on-street, off-street, and four major multi-storey car parks. You’ll be part of a service that operates 24/7, 365 days a year, dealing with members of the public face-to-face and via intercom. Working from our central control point, you will be expected to patrol sites, monitor parking compliance, support enforcement action, and respond immediately to emergencies or incidents. 🔹 Key Responsibilities * Patrol city-wide parking areas, including multi-storey and pay-on-foot sites * Respond promptly to incidents including emergencies, criminal activity, and unauthorised access * Provide clear advice and guidance to the public * Carry out enforcement duties under the Road Traffic Act 1991, including authorising vehicle immobilisation or removal * Report maintenance issues, damage, or safety concerns across car park facilities * Support events and car park closures/suspensions as required * Evict rough sleepers where necessary, working in line with safeguarding and safety procedures * Maintain high professional standards, wearing uniform and representing the Council in a public-facing role 🔹 About You We are looking for individuals who: * Are calm under pressure and confident dealing with the public * Have good communication skills, with the ability to resolve disputes tactfully * Are flexible and reliable, able to work shift patterns including nights, weekends, and holidays * Are physically able to patrol sites in all weather conditions If this role would be of interest to you, please apply with an up to date CV as soon as possible
