The predicted salary is between 42000 - 60000 £ per year.

Location: Ashbourne, Derbyshire.

Annual Salary: £52,500 p/a

Shifts: Double Days

  • W1: Monday to Friday 6:15am-3pm with Saturday morning covered between 6am-12pm.
  • W2: Monday to Thursday 2:45PM-12:30pm

Additional Overtime: + £8,500 comfortably

Benefit package: £55k-£60k earning potential with overtime, Fridays off or available as overtime bi-weekly, 33 days annual leave inclusive of bank holidays, 90% sick pay, 12% pension, X1.5 & X2 overtime pay (5-10 hours usually available weekly), opportunity for funded training courses, rewards scheme, retail discounts, childcare vouchers, uniform and usual benefits such as designated parking and free refreshments.

The Business: Auxtronic is partnered with the market leader in the supply of construction materials which includes the full ranges of aggregate, asphalt, cement and ready-mixed concrete products. Over the last 100+ years, our client has seen significant growth and is now the employer of choice to over 3,700 employees across 200 sites operating globally. This 85-acre site in Derbyshire is responsible for producing over half of the group's concrete products, most popular being paving slabs and concrete blocks. With a welcoming and highly experienced engineering department of over 30 qualified electrical engineers, they offer fantastic training, high job security and an enjoyable working environment.

The Role: Electrical Maintenance Engineer

Machinery List: Conveyor systems, bagging machines, mixing tanks, holding hoppers, drying systems, robots (Fanuc, ABB & Cougar), pumps, weighing systems, kilns, palletisers and control panels.

Electrical maintenance within a high-speed concrete manufacturing plant. Breakdown maintenance, fault finding and repairing machinery. PPM maintenance, servicing equipment and replacing worn components. Installation work includes site enhancements, LV & 3 phase equipment. Fault finding using PLCs (Allen Bradley), multi-meters and schematic drawings.

Entry requirements:

  • Qualifications: City & Guilds, NVQ or BTEC Level 3 qualification in Electrical Engineering, Maintenance or Installation, preferably through a recognised apprenticeship.
  • Experience: 5 years minimum experience as an Electrical Maintenance Engineer ideally within the heavy industry (aggregates, quarrying, recycling) though not essential.
