At BS Social Care we are recruiting for several experienced Residential Childcare Officer positions in the Cardiff area. You will be working as part of an established staff team to nurture and support children in residential care home settings across the city.
The role will involve –
Working as part of an established staff team to delivery best quality care and support.
Encouraging engagement with education and extra-curricular activities.
Promoting positive and healthy relationships.
Engaging the young people in social activities.
Maintaining and completing paperwork in a timely manner.
Acting as a positive role model.To be considered you must –
Experience of working in a children’s residential setting.
Level 3 children and young people qualification (desirable).
Be flexible in your working approach and hours when required to cover sickness.
Act as a positive role model for the young people.
Maintain a high standard of report writing and other paperwork required.
Be confident in yourself to challenge behaviour when required.
Support and encourage education and the further development of the young people to ensure they have the skills to live independently.
Attend meetings and training when required.
