Maintenance Engineer

Supporting management by performing both reactive and proactive maintenance on production plant machinery to minimise production downtime by ensuring timely and efficient repairs and maintenance activities., * Perform ongoing maintenance tasks, including routine checks, diagnosing, and repairing breakdowns to reduce unplanned downtime. Ensure permanent fixes and document root causes.

• Monitor equipment performance post-repair to ensure proper functioning.

• Install new parts and ensure all equipment complies with safety and legislative standards.

• Maintain effective communication with managers and workers across the business.

• Adhere to safe working practices and health and safety regulations at all times.

• Collaborate with team members and take on additional responsibilities as required.

• Take reasonable care of personal health and safety and that of others affected by actions or omissions.

• Cooperate with the Management team on health, safety, and environmental matters. Report any system or procedural shortcomings related to relevant legislation.

• Minimum of 2-3 years’ experience in a similar role within a manufacturing or production environment.

• Proficient in fault finding and adhering to preventative maintenance schedules.

• Demonstrated technical competence, proactive approach, and effective time management.

• Logical thinker with excellent diagnostic and problem-solving abilities.

• Strong communication skills and the ability to work well with employees at all levels, exhibiting a positive attitude.

• Self-motivated and independent worker.
