Are you an experienced procurement leader with a passion for delivering value and driving sustainable outcomes? Join our team as a Senior Procurement Manager , where you\’ll play a pivotal role in shaping our procurement strategies and fostering partnerships that create long-term success.

About the Role

As the Senior Procurement Manager, you will lead the tendering process for both UK and international contracts, ensuring cost savings, operational efficiencies, and optimal outcomes. You\’ll manage a small, talented team of two Category Managers, building capability and promoting best practices across all procurement activities.

Your role will focus on:

  • Developing and implementing category strategies aligned with organisational objectives.
  • Leading strategic contract management for key suppliers, driving performance and continuous improvement.
  • Managing supplier relationships, fostering collaboration, and delivering value to the organisation.
  • Supporting process improvements, cost-saving initiatives, and enhanced service delivery across the Procurement and Business Services teams.

This role requires a proactive, problem-solving mindset and the ability to adapt to the changing needs of the business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leadership: Inspire and develop a high-performing team, ensuring efficient and effective procurement delivery.
  • Strategic Planning: Design and execute procurement strategies that align with business growth and objectives.
  • Contract Negotiation: Secure favourable terms with suppliers to optimise value and minimise risks.
  • Supplier Engagement: Build strong relationships with suppliers, focusing on performance tracking and improvement.
  • Sustainability: Maximise social value and promote ethical, environmentally responsible procurement practices.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to ensure procurement supports broader business goals.

What Weโ€™re Looking For

  • Proven experience in delivering tenders and managing contracts, including SLAs.
  • Experience in IT and Corporate Functions/Services Procurement
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Expertise in UK procurement laws and regulations.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and develop high-performing teams.
  • Knowledge of procure-to-pay (P2P) systems and e-tendering tools.
  • A proactive approach to teamworking and stakeholder engagement.
  • Passion for responsible procurement and delivering sustainable outcomes.
  • (MCIPS qualification is desirable but not essential.
