Five Education is seeking a passionate and resilient Qualified Teacher to join a specialist SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) provision supporting pupils who face significant barriers to learning. This is a rewarding opportunity for a teacher who is committed to creating a nurturing and structured learning environment for students with complex emotional and behavioural needs.
The school provides tailored education and support to children and young people who may have been excluded from mainstream settings or who require specialist intervention. You will play a vital role in helping students re-engage with learning and develop key academic and life skills.
Key Responsibilities- Plan and deliver differentiated lessons that meet the individual needs of students with SEMH needs.
- Create a safe, consistent, and supportive classroom environment.
- Implement strategies that support emotional regulation and behaviour management.
- Work closely with support staff, parents/carers, and external agencies to monitor and promote student progress.
- Contribute to the development of personalised learning plans and behaviour support plans.
- Maintain high expectations for learning, behaviour, and inclusion.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS or equivalent).
- Experience working with children or young people with SEMH, SEND, or in alternative provisions.
- Strong behaviour management and de-escalation skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Right to work in the UK.
