Senior QA Technologist

Our client, one of the fastest growing online retailers who specialise in selling textiles, clothing, electricals, furniture and other household goods are seeking a Senior QA to join their growing business. The role will involve:- Conduct product tests and risk assessments * Record and report issues, collecting feedback and findings, to be presented in tech meetings * Assist product team with new product development, to ensure products are safe and fit for purpose before coming to market * Manage red and gold seal assessments for product categories, ensuring compliance with relevant safety and regulatory standards within your category areas * Assist with instruction manual creation and guidance * Stock checks to ensure consistent good quality control * Ensure products are manufactured to the right standard and relevant legislation * Ensure the correct third party testing is complete * Ensure the relevant test reports are collected for products and that the company complies with any and all standards, internal policies and legal regulations that apply to the finished product * Ensure packaging and any other materials are labelled correctly according to guidelines * Ensure packaging is suitable for products * Implement structure and processes for the QC and product team to follow Skills required: * Product knowledge across Textiles, Clothing. Electricals and Furniture * Minimum of 3-4 years industry experience in either a QA or similar * Proven experience in regulatory compliance, preferably in furniture and homeware goods * Some team management experience would be ideal * Understanding of the supply chain * Understand quality standards and manufacturing methods * Ability to analyse test results and present a report * High level of knowledge of consumer product safety requirements that are sufficient to understand relevant legislation * PLEASE NOTE: CANDIDATES FROM A BACKGROUND IN SCIENCE/ENGINEERING/PHARMACEUTICAL OR FOOD SECTORS WOULD NOT SUIT THIS ROLE * Flexible and adaptable to changing work environment * Administrative and accuracy skills * IT skills including Excel Benefits: * Casual dress * Free on-site parking * Company events * Career progression * Please note: this is not a hybrid role, this is office based
