Our client is a leader in industrial automation and engineering solutions, specialising in cutting-edge technologies for manufacturing, robotics, and process automation. They are looking for a skilled Controls Engineer to join their team and contribute to their advanced automation projects.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and program control systems, including PLCs and HMIs (Beckhoff, Siemens etc.).
- Develop and program robots (ABB, Fanuc, Kawasaki, etc.).
- Develop and program off the shelf vision systems and laser markers.
- Develop bespoke machine vision applications using python.
- Integrate servo motors, VFDs, HMIs, and industrial sensors.
- Conduct testing, troubleshooting, and debugging of automation systems.
- Collaborate with project managers and clients to define project scope and timelines.
- Stay updated on advancements in industrial automation technology.
- Provide technical support and guidance during installation and maintenance.
- Document project details, specifications, and design changes.
- Nice to have - panel build experience.
Requirements:
- Based in the North West.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
- Controls experience, including PLC programming and HMIs.
- Experience in an automation environment.
- Proficiency in diagnostics, troubleshooting, and system optimization.
- Familiarity with industry standards and best practices.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Python experience.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects.
- Able to work on- and off-site.
- Able to travel UK wide and stay at a site for a duration of time.
- Valid driver's license.
