Job Title: Design Draughtsperson Location: Newcastle Upon Tyne Contract Type: Full time / Perm Our client is a global engineering business with multiple sites in the North East. They are currently looking for a Design Draughtsperson to be based at their site in Newcastle Upon Tyne on a full time, permanent basis. The Role of the Design Draughtsperson The Design Draughtsperson will play a crucial, contributing to the design and development of innovative solutions. Other responsibilities include: * Collaborate with Engineers to create detailed design drawings and specifications. * Ensure designs comply with industry standards and regulations. * Provide technical support and guidance to the project team, as required. * Work independently to complete tasks efficiently and accurately. About You – Design Draughtsperson The ideal candidate will bring proven experience as a Design Draughtsperson in the Mechanical Engineering sector. Other requirements include: * Strong understanding of mechanical design principles. * Proficiency in Autodesk CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Inventor). * Experience in the use of Teamcenter PLM would be advantageous. * Excellent communication and organisational skills. * Prior knowledge of Subsea technologies and/or cable lay equipment is highly beneficial
