Milk Education are recruiting for a Phonics Interventions Specialist for a Primary School in Leeds to start in January! This is a school who prides itself on being supportive and inclusive, with high standards of attainment and behaviour.
This is Monday to Friday, 08:30am – 15:30pm.

Phonics Interventions Specialist Role & Responsibilities:
Work with children who may be struggling with phonics, reading, lack language skills or have little confidence
Support pupils to apply comprehension strategies independently to reading tasks, contexts and subjects
Plan and deliver 1-1 phonics interventions suitable for primary aged children
Carefully select texts to match each student’s reading level, these texts are used in targeted lessons where you will work with students to improve their comprehension skills
Have a strong understanding and knowledge of phonics and different schemes, for example; Read, Write, Inc, Jolly Phonics, Floppy Phonics etc
Have a good grasp of written and spoken English
An understanding of and commitment to safeguarding children
Enthusiasm and a can-do attitude.
