Do you have a strong commitment to quality within supply chain operations? We are seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer to join our proactive team based in Gosport. This role offers a great opportunity to influence supplier performance, uphold industry standards, and support ongoing quality enhancements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee product quality assurance activities to ensure alignment with customer and regulatory requirements, including the application of specific process controls and adherence to certifications.
- Lead the resolution of internal non-conformances using structured problem-solving techniques (e.g., 8D, Ishikawa).
- Validate and authorize documentation for product release, such as Certificates of Conformance and First Article Inspection Reports.
- Participate in New Product Introduction (NPI) processes through the entire project lifecycle.
- Conduct evaluations, audits, and approval processes for suppliers.
- Support contract review procedures with a quality-focused approach.
- Gather and present key performance indicators for regular business reviews.
- Promote a strong quality culture by driving awareness and accountability for continuous improvement across the organization.
Essential Skills and Experience:
- Qualified as a lead auditor or experienced in conducting both internal and supplier audits.
- Certification in Lean Six Sigma (Green Belt or higher).
- Hands-on quality engineering experience in an AS9100-regulated production or project setting.
- Proficiency with root cause analysis and managing non-conformance issues.
- Strong communication abilities, both written and verbal, capable of conveying complex technical information to a range of stakeholders.
- Comfortable presenting data and analysis, particularly around corrective actions and process improvements.
