Supervisor

Supervisor Location: Friston, Suffolk Pay Rate: £23 – £30 ph PAYE/ PAYE UMBRELLA/ CIS UMBRELLA Key Responsibilities: * Supervise and coordinate civil construction works including groundworks, drainage, concrete structures, ducting, and reinstatement. * Ensure all activities comply with health, safety, quality, and environmental standards. * Conduct site inductions, toolbox talks, and risk assessments. * Liaise with the Site Manager and Project Manager to ensure efficient project delivery. * Oversee the use of plant and materials, checking delivery notes and stock levels. * Maintain accurate site records including daily diaries, progress reports, and material usage. * Monitor subcontractor performance and ensure works are carried out to design specifications. * Manage site permits and ensure all necessary documentation is in place. * Address site issues or delays proactively and escalate when necessary. Requirements: Essential: * Proven experience in supervising civil engineering works. * Strong knowledge of groundworks, drainage, utilities, or highways (depending on sector). * SSSTS or SMSTS certification. * CSCS card (Gold or Black preferred). * First Aid at Work. * Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications. * Good communication and leadership skills. * Full UK driving licence. Desirable: * NRSWA Supervisor (for street works/utilities projects). * Temporary Works Supervisor qualification. * Experience with GPS and setting out equipment. * NVQ Level 3 or 4 in Construction Site Supervision (or equivalent).
