We're working with a specialist civils contractor to recruit an experienced Site Manager to oversee a series of challenging refurbishment and repair projects within the Thames Water framework. Projects range in value up to £1m and involve complex civils works such as underground reservoir repairs, water tank refurbishments, and structural reinstatement. This role will suit a self-sufficient Site Manager capable of managing early-stage works such as pre-condition surveys, site setups, and service tracing, right through to delivery and handover.
Site Manager Responsibilities:
- Leading multiple water infrastructure refurbishment projects across London
- Overseeing early-stage activities: site surveys, pre-condition reports, service isolation, temporary works
- Managing health & safety, scaffold setups, site compliance, and QA
- Working through and submitting complex paperwork for Thames Water approval
- Coordinating subcontractors, monitoring progress, and ensuring works are delivered on time and within budget
- Regular client liaison and collaboration with framework partners
Ideal Background:
- Solid experience in civils, structural refurbishments, or utilities
- Previous work within water frameworks (Runway 0 or 1) or similar regulated environments
- Strong with pre-construction planning, documentation, and framework compliance
- Comfortable running fast-paced, small-to-mid-value projects (£250K-£1M)
Desirable certifications:
- Thames Water Passport
- EUSR Card
