Are you someone who enjoys working independently, thrives on routine, and takes pride in keeping things running smoothly? We’re looking for a proactive and self-motivated Contract Compliance Assistant to join our dedicated Asset Management Team. This is a hands-on role that takes you out and about across your district within West Yorkshire, where you’ll be the eyes and ears on the ground - visiting bus stops, shelters and bus stations to ensure they’re clean, safe, and well-maintained for the public. You will help ensure our contractors deliver high standards by checking the quality of their work, taking site photos, and completing compliance checks. From posting up-to-date timetables to responding promptly to damage reports, your attention to detail will help to keep the network in excellent shape. As Contract Compliance Assistant, you will also carry out minor maintenance tasks and collect passenger notices and equipment from our main reception when needed. This role is ideal for someone who’s confident working independently, comfortable travelling within their district, and able to manage their workload effectively. We offer flexible working hours, with no weekend work required. There are currently two positions available, one based in Leeds and the other in Bradford - with occasional travel to other sites when needed. As the role involves regular travel, a full UK driving licence is essential, and a company van will be provided.

The Role
Reporting into the Asset Management Assistant, your key responsibilities will include:
- Working in a CA appointed vehicle, the role involves monitoring our contractors’ performance to ensure that WYCA standards, with regard to cleaning, repairing and maintenance of all on-street infrastructure including bus stations and bus stops/shelters are maintained.
- Assisting with the maintenance of WYCA’s database by undertaking surveys of bus stops and shelters and undertaking minor repair works information for service changes and road closure and surveying bus stops and shelters.
- Carrying out health and safety audits at small, unmanned bus stations.

About You
- You will have the following key skills, attributes, education and experience:
- Educated to GCSE level or equivalent, or relevant practical experience in a similar role.
- Holds a full current manual driving licence.
- Experience of responding efficiently to requests from customers or stakeholders.
- Experience of planning and prioritising own workload.
