The Role

As an HGV Road Sweeper Driver, you will play a key role in ensuring construction sites, roads, and highways are kept clean and safe for clients. Your daily responsibilities will include:

  • Operating a road sweeper to clean construction sites, roads, and highways.
  • Conducting daily vehicle safety checks to ensure roadworthiness.
  • Interacting with clients professionally and responding to their requirements.
  • Completing daily job sheets accurately.

Working Hours & Pay

  • Full-time, permanent role
  • 5.5-day working week – Saturday work is on a rota or as overtime when required.

Pay:

  • From £14.00 per hour (Monday – Friday)
  • Rising to £15 per hour after passing probation
  • From £17.00 – 20.50 per hour Overtime (over 8 hours)
  • From £21.00 – 23.50 per hour Nightwork
  • Performance bonuses available

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for reliable, professional drivers with:

  • HGV Class 2 licence & Driver CPC Card
  • Experience Required: At least 1 year of HGV driving experience. We will consider ‘newbies’ willing to prove themselves as let’s face it, you’ve got to start somewhere!
  • CSCS card (NOT ESSENTIAL - Training can be provided)
  • Previous experience in a manual role (due to the physical nature of the job)
  • A positive attitude towards dealing with clients as we pride ourselves on delivering top notch customer service
  • The ability to communicate effectively and follow customer instructions
